Kill The Root Of Human Trafficking, And children fleeing violence

Call on Congress Today

We need your help today. You may have heard about tens of thousands of children fleeing violence in Central America who have come to our country for safety. Right now, Congress and the Administration are considering tearing away basic legal protections in order to send these children away, undercutting the cornerstone of federal anti-trafficking policy in the process.

This is your chance to act. These children are vulnerable to human trafficking. President Obama and Congress need to hear from you today to ensure these children are safe and protected.U.S. Capitol, Senate Office Buildings

Protect the TVPRA of 2008

Hello,

I oppose legislation and other efforts designed to weaken the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 and deprive children fleeing violence of the care they deserve. Congress and the Administration should work to protect the children who are here, while also addressing the root causes that make children and adults vulnerable to sex and labor trafficking in their home countries.

The TVPRA of 2008 is vital because it puts into place measures to ensure that children arriving at our borders are properly screened for having been trafficked and are afforded certain due process rights and basic services. Although the federal government is overwhelmed by the number of children fleeing violence, now is not the time to do away with these basic protections in order to expedite their return to their home countries. Eliminating these protections would severely limit our ability to identify children who have been trafficked or who might have valid asylum claims, and could send these children right back into harm’s way.

We need your support to oppose any attempt to amend or eliminate the protections in the TVPRA of 2008. Now is the time to ensure these children are safe and protected, and not the time to dismantle the very measures meant to protect them.

Thank you for your consideration,

Kill the Root

Lets all kill the root, that is growing by the minute. It is not the root of a tree. This root is bigger than a tree root. This is not even a tree. It is an injustice that the traffickers said is just a buisness. Selling people for a profit,is the biggest builty millon dollar buisness, and is growing by the minute. This root that is taking our children, weman, and even man are trafficked. We are educating and rumors has become big about this dissaster of pandemicthat continued to grow. However what are we doing about it. Education is good, and powerful, however if we do not take the victims out of this injustice and putting the traffickers away. We as people are not cutting the root of slavery.
